Best antivirus software for 2008!
February 27th, 2008 | by Frenday |Getting online without antivirus software in your PC is basicly a stupid idea…every pc should get one for protection, but getting solid antivirus protection doesn’t have to mean that you have to spend a fortune. In fact, some of the most reliable antivirus don’t cost a thing. Listed here are some that i thought the best antivirus products currently on the market, both free and commercial. By the way you might want to check out few notes regarding Vista SP1 if your are using any Vista machine, just in case.
The free product…
Aviva AntiVir PersonalEdition Classic 7 - They never offer a paid version (so far). Capable and effective antivirus product, good fast operation. They are very serious about free protection.
Alwil Avast! 4.6 Home Edition - Avast! well its still free for personal use. Now new feature adds a web proxy which filters all traffic running through it, for security risks. Works well all major web browsers. Best of all it also recognizing non-virus threats like spyware and adware. The Pro edition ($40) adds a few power-user’s features.
The paid product…
Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0 – Get any more secure with Kaspersky locking down your system. Absolute control over every binary that enters and exits your computer. So secure that you will have problem convincing the program not to remove some applications that you actually want on your PC. This compelete “black hole” cost $80, while Anti-virus only $60.
Symantec Norton 360 - This one also a rock-solid security, quite a bit like Kaspersky. The only persistant problems year after year is that Norton can slow down your computer and sometime hangs when you try to shut down your computer. A bit frustrating about these bug . Cost $80 for Norton 360, while AntiVirus only for $60.
Trend Micro Internet Security Pro - Among the oldest product in antivirus world, i’m quite impressed with how well it works. If your are using Vista machine, you might want to check some issue regarding Vista SP1 , Offers in three similar versions of its security application, this one cost ($70) inclusive and cheaper than the rest. Plain antivirus for just $40.
Note: For Vista’s user please take note about recent issue with Vista SP1 and how to do 1 level troubleshooting just in case your pc unable to bootup after software installation.

ya forgot la Node32…kekeke
Node32 is among the best antivirus on the net won few awards before, the best thing about this stuff is the technology…it fully use heuristic style to detect and scan virus, generally heuristic is a particular method of directing your attention to find something, in antivirus technology the virus is scan base on their signature, but in Node32 they use heuristic method to scan a possible virus signature before other vendors even had an accurate signature…hehe mat now i remember once i wrote a paper during my degree regarding antivirus technology and method…hehe its been quite few years, i forgot already…thanks for the reminder hehe…ya i guess big brand names don’t stop malware. Advanced design and technology does.

Protect my computer and eliminate the bugs and viruses.
When you are searching for a great scan that can help you keep your computer running like new, I would suggest that you visit http://www.Search-and-destroy.com. Here I found the antispyware solution from Search-and-destroy and it was exactly what I needed to protect my computer and eliminate the bugs and viruses that would make it run slow, freeze up and shut down. Search-and-destroy Antispyware was the answer to my computer bug problems and it was certainly worth every penny I spent to have this great antispyware to protect my PC. Not only does it work great but it cost less than many of the other scans available.
