Is this the installation that came with the computer? If so, then a) it’s not legal (you have an OEM copy which is licensed to that computer only), and b) odds are the chipsets will be so different, if will bluescreen on first boot in the new machine. Then if it doesn’t, it will likely fail the Windows Activation since the hardware has changed SOOOO much.

yeah you can download a program called ghost and it can make an image of your hard drive and then it gets a bit hazy because it was so long ago that i did it, but from here it should be quite easy. just do the opposite of making the iso.
hope it helps

you must do a bit by bit copy. you can use the “ultimate boot cd” at ultimatebootcd.com or hiren’s boot cd , there’re diff tools on those two cds.fyi: I use “Copy Wipe” tool on ultimate boot cd.
don’t 4get, since ur at another computer, you’ll need to reinstall driver for diff. devices too

Yes… you can do it with Ghost.
After you ghost it you will need the drivers disk for the new computer. Video, sound and modem. network drivers. Unless you get lucky and have the some hardware you had in the first computer.
