Is There A Way To Track Affiliate Clicks When Forwarding A Domain?

May 24th, 2009 | by Frenday |

For example, if you buy a domain name and have it forwarded to a clickbank affiliate link, is there any way to track the visitors that actually clicked on your domain name? It seems to me that this would be impossible since there would be no sourcecode on your actual domain name as it’s being forwarded to the affiliate link…
Does anyone know of anything that would make this possible? I know that clickbank has a generic tracking system, but I would like to see detailed stats on visitors.
Thanks

If you really need to see detailed stats on your visitors, then there are two ways:
1 – Redirect with your domain and add the Google Analytics to the code. Not the best way but it will work.
    2 – Use tracking 202 at http://www.tracking202.com

Create a landing page and add a google analytics tracking code to it. Redirect all your traffic from there to your sales page. You will be able to monitor your traffic easy that way.
