What Is The Best Freeware Antivirus Program?
June 27th, 2009 | by Frenday |I am currently running avg but a lot of people have been telling me it is uselesss and it certainly didnt help much when my computer was overrun with viruses a couple of months ago, I ended up having to format HD.
I already have zonealarm firewall, lavasoft and spybot and mozilla, I just need a new better antivirus program.
Also does anyone know any good regcleaners?

Never use Spybot and Lavasoft together they do not like eachother. All you need is to download the free anti-virus from Avast http://www.avast.com (Avast! 4 Home Edition) and download Spybot from http://www.download.com and use the windows firewall. I have done this for years and i have been perfectly fine!

You insatll a standard antivirus soft ware such as Norton, AVG , Avast ( free antivirus software and Ad-aware, Ewido ( free spyware removers). You can download free softwares athttp://fixit.in/antivirus.html and http://fixit.in/spywareremover.html

This one is good; http://www.avira.com/
You can get a few, just set them up in your Config not to start until you want. That way you can run one and then later run the other if you think one may miss something. Also, you can go here; http://www.pandasoftware.com/products/ac... and get a free scan, it download a Java-script with the virus definitions, but, it nothing running on your computer except when it scan. Good backup, if you think yours miss something.

if you want to pay get McAfee or Norton. But if you don’t get AVG Virus Protection. My freind said it’s good. But I use Norton.

Hi,
You need to know which websites you should visit and which website you shouldnt… Emails might contain viruses also…
I don’t think that you need a freeware anti-virus application… I’ve been running my machine without an anti-virus and nothing happened… The best anti-virus is you
I recommend downloading Ad-Aware from http://www.lavasoft.com... This application is for removing ads from your computer. It is very useful cause these things just creep in without you noticing…
But if you insist on an Anti Virus application, your AVG is the best one on the net
