June 30th, 2009 | by Frenday |

I have this personal antivirus software that somehow ended up on my computer and I can’t seem to remove it. It does not show up in the add/remove programs. It keeps telling me my system is infected with some trojan which I know it is not. I already have McAfee protecting my computer. Please help..How can I get rid of this. It keeps wanting to me buy..

what you have is spyware, not an antivirus.
the first poster recommended malware bytes..
i’ll also add suggestions for Lavasoft Adaware (www.lavasoft.com)
and Spybot Search & Destroy (http://www.safer-networking.org)

Go into safe-mode scroll to McAfee,no need for internet run a scan,it should pick it up this way before its enabled at start up.
