My Computer Was Recently Shut Down By That Windows Xp Antivirus Scam. What Can I Do?

July 26th, 2009 | by Frenday |

I have norton internet security but that does not seem to be much help and I have never been able to tell if it is really running or not. Would i be better off to download AVG or one of the free antivirus programs?

You would be better off d/loading this one…..
    Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware as it’s malware/spyware
that you have and antivirus will not remove this.
XP antivirus is a rogue program that, when run, will display false results as a tactic to scare you into purchasing the software. Older versions of XP Antivirus would create 9 entries in your Windows Registry that impersonate infections on your machine.

XP antivirus is not a virus so Norton or AVG won’t remove it.
