Where to advertise will depend on who your target market it. You need to match any form of advertising – print or web – to the place where your target is likely to be.
Talking specifically about Thailand (because I am here) there are many Thai language websites and magazines that you might want to consider,however if your product isn’t in Thai then you might be wasting your money. All the big software providers have Thai language options or interfaces.

Hi,
There are many ways to market a small business on the web. You can buy banner ads, text links, or use PPC. However, the best way is to get listed in a bunch of portals. Portals and directories are like phone books, and they often provide a lot of traffic because they tend to rank high on Google.
This portal is giving away a free business card holder for lising your business (I got mine a few days ago in the mail). If you want to know about some other portals, just let me know.

The Best magazine in the asian region that i so popular to all is TIME magazine. So if you have the right amount of cash to spend in advertising your software don’t bother to invest it on TIME magazine.
