How Can I Have Original Windows Antivirus Warning In Security Center Again?

September 13th, 2009 | by Frenday |

I have installed Zone Alarm and it replaced the original Windows antivirus warning installation in the Security Center with its own.
I have clicked on “Change the way security center alerts me”
I put “Tick” mark to have the antivirus warning but the situation doesn’t change.
I have removed Zone Alarm.
How can I have the original Windows antivirus warning again?

Which Operating System are you using, XP or Vista? I’m not sure I quite understand the question. Windows doesn’t come with an anti-virus program built-in, it will just warn you if you don’t have one, or if the one you have is not up-to-date.
Is it a paid for version of ZoneAlarm that includes anti-virus? The free version of ZoneAlarm is a firewall, which is very different to an anti-virus program.
If you’ve uninstalled ZA firewall then, after a short period, Windows should pick up that you’ve uninstalled it and revert back to the informing you that the Windows firewall is working.
