Can I Become A Software Engineer With A Computer Science Degree?

September 27th, 2009 | by Frenday |

Like I go to the University of Waterloo and am going for a computer science major…and looking to take a software engineering option. However doing it this way doesn’t make me a canadian lisenced engineer. Does that mean I can’t get a software engineering job?. How will the companies know that I have a software engineering option to my computer science degree.

Most companies don’t care about the PE license. You will have no trouble finding a job as a software engineer with a computer science degree.
They will know you have the software engineering option when you add that detail to your resume.
