Installed Super Ubuntu On My Laptop Don’t Know If I Need To Install Antivirus Or Turn On The Firewall?
October 3rd, 2009 | by Frenday |I know there is a firewall on Super Ubuntu (Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex with extra support), but it doesn’t seem to be activated automatically, and I can’t find an antivirus program on my system. I’m not very techy, sick of Vista problems and like ubuntu – but I do want to make sure I’m safe online….. any help?

By default any distribution of Linux turns on the firewall. You do not need an anti-virus, but should really use one as it will prevent you from infecting a Windows user’s machine by forwarding a virus, which will not affect yours.
