Why Is The Social Security Administration Asking For Money Back?

October 29th, 2009 | by Frenday |

I filled out SSA-6230-OCR-SM and claimed that most of the money I get for my son for survivor benefits from social security are saved. Now they want the money back! Is there any way I can get this decision reversed? The only reason I save that money is because I would be saving it anyway, from my income. My son has a disability and will need that money for the future.

Sadly its because the SSA is bankrupt. Most of the money paid into it was used for people on welfare who never worked and illegal aliens. With that, you must pay it back, get yourself a tax attorney who specializes in debt. They may be able to help but $$$

Benefits are paid on the basis of need. You told them that you really didn’t need the money.
