Customer Service. In my opinion, Norton doesn’t have any. Check out: http://www.komando.com and look in her best picks. Good antivirus software for free.

I currently use Norton and have been using norton for years. Many people will tell you that they are evil or take over your computer, that’s not true. I have never been affected by a virus in all the years I’ve been using Norton, however it has detected and removed several before I could be affected. True, you have to pay for norton but it has good real time protection and good e-mail integration.

The difference is not really big, just dome different features and displays.
As for the best, I used to have McAfee but ir really affected th PC’s performance, so I moved to Norton, and even better, Norton System Works. Probably it’s best the one that you know how to use best.

norton and mcaffee both slow xp down, take up harddrive space that you could use for other things, dont protect you as well as they claim. avg antivirus has a free personal edition. http://www.grisoft.com

mcafee isnt prefered nowadays. but bad news for norton users is that, in spite of norton being favourite of many IT recommenders, there are some viruses & adwares that dismantle it badly. most software companies & websites claim norton as there primary & significant antivirus. but believe me, norton is an easy trap 2 many erroneous problems, & once a virus gets into the files of n antivirus, then only god can help ur pc.
my one frnd used 2 have a registered & original version of norton with its installation in a CD. but when the setup was done, if there was something left in his pc after it, then it were virus, virus & only virus.
instead of going for any of 2, better go for AVG or quick heal.
may god keep u away from all the viruses
    amen.

According to me Norton is better than Mcafee. I have seen using both practically.
    The Difference :-
The foremost problem with McAfee VirusScan is that it takes too long to sift through your hard drive in search of pathogens. Norton AntiVirus, meanwhile, tends to drag down your system’s performance. Between the two, I lean toward AntiVirus, based on the benchmark performance tests conducted by av-test.org and Virus Bulletin. According to the latest scores, Norton’s antiviral flagship does a slightly better job of sussing out worms. So if your choice were to come down to VirusScan and AntiVirus, Norton should get your vote.

avg is free, zone alert is about 70 dollars but upgrade is free after it expires, norton is only good for a year and after that you get annoying upgrade pop ups from the system, and mcafee is ok. best bet is to try something new…a lot of the popular ones aren’t always the best ones…they’re just mass produced.

both are practically the same, but Norton is heavier and, of course, needs a more powerful PC, it works OK but cant turn the PC slowly for all scan process…
I suggest Avast! Antivirus, is free for non-commercial use…
