November 12th, 2009 | by Frenday |

I was ask to write the user’s manuel for a software application that I support.
I have Microsoft Word, Publisher, Powerpoint, Info Path, and One Note.
Any suggestions?

Word for the actual writing. Publisher for layout (although if you are intending to get the manual professionally printed, the printer will hate you. Publisher violates all sorts of standard layout and printing requirement rules, and some pro printshops won’t even touch it.)
As the first person said, for actual layout and design work, you want Adobe InDesign. Warning, it’s not cheap and it has a steep learning curve.

Out of your list, I would say Word
If you do a lot of it, get some desktop publishing software. My wife uses Adobe In Design.
