Never heard of that happening b4..I have used Avast on all my machines and my friends PC’s and have had no problem with it….Where did you download it from ??

I had exactly tge same problem, I found out my firewall didn’t like it so blocked all in and out internet traffic. Try AVG and Zonealarms Or Comodo.
