Go to pc magazine and start from there, Also check ZD Net. Also have used AVG, a pretty good program.

Down load again AVG. AVG is the best.I have tried norton professional and others but still did not protect as I need. So I would recommond AVG. if possibel buy AVG. it si more or less sam price than other antivirus softwares.

AntivirXP, comes with a guard component and is not a memory intensive as most.

personally i use symantec corperate, you dont have to subscribe every year and one purchase lasts until your change o/s

It now has a link scanner, anti spyware and e mail scanner all for free.

AVG version 7 (not 8 – link checker slows your internet down drastically – if you want that functionality, get McAfee SiteAdvisor (free))
or Avast
EDIT: I’ve just found that the link checker “bug” has been fixed, but I still recommend McAfee siteadvisor is you want that functionality.
