The only way to ensure that your computer is 100% virus free is to reinstall your operating system (XP, Vista, etc.)

Reinstall.
Then use some real security instead of “antivirus” software.
Good security requires a multi-layered approach, and the least important layer by far is running some kind of anti-malware program (in fact, if you take care of all the other layers, you don’t even need an anti-malware program using up extra resources).
In order of importance:
1. Create and use almost exclusively a limited user account instead of the default administrator account Windows sets you up with
2. Read up on social engineering and how to avoid it
3. Don’t download illegal copies of software, music, or movies
4. Set Windows updates to install automatically
5. Make regular backups. If possible, back up your entire installation (using Norton Ghost or Acronis True Image)

download superantispyware, spybot search and destroy, and Malwarebytes antimalware and run them all at the same time. use them to scan one at a time and definitely one of them will catch your virus. this is the best free combination to get your computer clean without slowing your computer
then add AVG antivirus or go to CA for online scanning

Install Bit Defender Total Security 2009. It is the top ranking anti-virus in the world. Once you installed it and registered it, update it. After that you have an option in that to run a deep system scan. This scan catches all the virus, spy-wares, malwares, ad-wares etc in your system and keep it clean. Adjust your firewall settings in it and enjoy the best protection ever.

go on google and type in Norton 360. download the free trial and get rid of all your viruses. then, you would have to go out and actually buy the anti virus software.
