Can Antivirus 2009 Infect A Usb If You Download Microsoft Word Files Onto It From An Infected Computer?

December 31st, 2009 | by Frenday |

I have many important files that i wanted to save before I gave my laptop to professionals, and I am paranoid that these files contain the virus. Is that possible? There are also pictures and voice recorder files. Thanks!

No. Antivirus 2009 is malware designed to take over system files to have tons of popups, change your screensaver etc to get you to pay for the fake antivirus program.
It does not infect word files, pictures etc etc.
You also do not need to take the computer to a shop.
You can remove antivirus 2009 yourself. It’s really simple.
First run malwarebytes – it’s free: http://www.download.com/Malwarebytes-Ant… – best to run in safemode, but I have seen it work well not in safemode.
Or try Super Anti Spyware, does not need to run in safemode: http://www.download.com/SUPERAntiSpyware…
Then install and run and do a full scan using AVG Free Edition V8 Antivirus:http://www.download.com/AVG-Anti-Virus-F…

I dont think antivirus 2009 is going to affect any files. It is mainly intended to behave as a genuine software and sue some amount for the full version. It also changed google homepage and asked people to pay for antivirus 2009.
Apart from that, it mainly affected servers by modifying htaccess file. It is a very bad rogue software which has now been fixed with microsoft’s new update.
