What Software Do I Use To Make An Animated Video?

I need to create a visual project for my english class and i though of making a animated video. A very basic one with stick figures and such. Does anyone know what software i can use? Any help is appreciated!

    Look at AnimeStudio and AnimeStudio Pro — about half-price of Flash, and I like the Pro verison better. There is also Stickman, but I feel it is a bit overpriced. AnimeStudio has ‘bones’ which can help you animate shapes for talking or walking.

    Macromedia or adobe flash is an extremely popular. You can basically make and animation like a flick book, e.g. you create a shape and then you create a new page and then move the image ever so gradually. Once you have finished you can then export it to several video formats.
