As far as I know, there isn’t any way to monitor activity during specific activities, but there are many packages that monitor overall activity.

We used Spectorsoft. I thought it was the most comprehensive package. But what is your real problem? Are you worried what your teen is doing online? Who’s talking to them? Try moving the computer into the most used room in your house. That is a lot cheaper than spyware programs on your computer. Try talking to them too.

If you are most concerned with her MySpace account, I would suggest making one of your own, it’s Free to sign up, this way you can monitor what type of comments she recieves and leaves to her friends, what type of profile she has, and what type of pictures she has up…

Log into your router and watch the traffic log to see what websites she is going to.

Sychroneyes is really effective and it monitors everything from mouse movement to logged sites. Using a VNC server is also a very effective (and free method to directly monitor her activity). If you need any help with the VNC just email me for much more information and a detailed walkthrough at egghead329@gmail.com

If you are that worried why don’t you just take the computer out of her room and put it in a common room and just look at what she’s doing.

find out what her password is, that way you can log on to her account and see what she’s been up to. Or, set up your own account and tell her to include you in her list of friends. Or look at the history, you can determine what sites she’s been to.
