How Do I Get A Free Spyware For My Computer And Antivirus Software?

I went to this site and all of a sudden all these spy allerts came up and will not go away. They all want me to buy something and i’m sure if it’s real or a scam for access to my system. Does anyone have any advice on getting rid of these alerts and how to get free security that is legitimate?

    You will need to run full anti-virus/spyware scan and clean your registry. I recommend you use these programs (they are free).

    I have three FREE programs that keep my computer really clean, except for the occasional piece of spam email, easily dealt with.
    For anti Virus : Download : AVG Free Edition 7.5 from Grisoft.com; for anti spyware : Spybot Search & Destroy 1.4 ; and since thefree version of AVG has no firewall, Download(free) Windows Defender from the security section of Windows Market Place. Set the AVG to get daily up-dates on start up each day ; Spybot for 2 or 3am daily & Windows Defender should be put on auto up-dates. By getting these regular security updates, which describe new threats out there for your computer to recognize, when something comes along, it will block it. I do a weekly scan of AVG, & the same with Spybot.

    This is the masterpiece! It is called the Avast! Antivirus. It will block all the dangerous software, including viruses, spyware, and other junk, at the point of entry. Not so long ago I installed something into my computer. That software had viruses inside – the viruses were filtered out and deleted. And then I deleted the software itself – why keep it?
    The Avast! Antivirus upgrades the virus database automatically. It lets you know when the new definitions were installed. And, guess what? It’s FREE. All they want from you is your basic information. Probably, to know who is using their product. They did not ask me for any kind of payment. I was informed, however, that after this year is over, I have to register again. That is it.
    I don’t know what is the point of their generosity, but they do let people use this awesome software for no cost. There is a professional edition and I think they get their bread and butter from there, but, hey, a free antivirus that works the way I dreamed of not so long ago.http://www.avast.com/eng/free_software.h… is where you find it. Why get expensive software that works bad or does not work at all?
    We get viruses for free. Why not get rid of them for free as well?

    Ummm… I wouldn’t trust those. If you want to be sure of what kind of malware you have (even adware posing as anti-spyware software) go to http://www.infectedornot.com and run a TotalScan.
    I guarantee that this one is absoultely safe. The web site is owned by Panda Software (they are a respected security company and they wouldn’t risk their reputation).
    Actually, it is all part of their new campaign “Infected Or Not?”. They let you try their new stuff (Panda NanoScan and Panda TotalScan) and they use the information from these free trials to collect statisitcs, which are then presented on the campaign’s web site to raise awareness on the malware infection problem.
