Sometimes it is better to license it to companies that will actually need to use it - that is how you make money when the product takes off. Some say sell it on the net, or sell it to Companys. There's one problem with that. Someone can always take it & say it's theres & easily change it, so what I say before you do is get something. Create a website to promote it with all the info about it on there. Put the bare minimum you'd like others to pay (one off) to use it ... and have an option for people to donate if they feel the software is worthy. Mind you, you'll need to get rights to it so someone doesn't take the software from you. Then when you've gained a fair amount of customers, then you can start promoting it to other bigger companies etc ... etc. Otherwise .... I wouldn't have a clue. Hope it works out for you.
