How Much Money Can An Unemployed Single Parent Actually Get?
February 19th, 2010 | by Frenday |Someone told me that an unemployed or part time employed parent of two kids would get more money in benefits per month than my care worker wage of £1250.
Is this really true? I am beginning to think I should have just had kids instead.

The amount a claimant receives comprises an age-related personalallowance and allowances for dependent children. The current rates of the income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance range from £30.95 (HK$390) a week for a singleperson under aged 18 to £80.65 (HK$1,016) for a couple both aged 18 or over. The rate for each dependent child varies with age.
Dependent Children
Dependent child under aged 11 £20.2 (HK$254)
Dependent child aged 11 – 16£25.9 (HK$326)
Dependent child age 16 – 18£30.95 (HK$390)

In the state of California, a single mother of one can get about 600.00 cash, free medical, dental, optical, educational expenses and about 250.00 in food stamps.
plus, section 8 enabling them to pay rent of 100-150.00.
- a pretty comfortable living for the unmotivated.
