Whenever i try to update avast it gives message ‘cannot connect to the server’ while i’m not using a proxy server and all other applications on my PC are working correctly. Please help?

check your connection setting in ie
then apply the same setting in avast
or you can reinstall your avast
the installation file should have repair option
maybe the updater is not responding
